Prices, Payment and Shipping Information For 2012

Our price remains the same again this year for African Violet leaves and we have reduced our shipping rates! The cost is $2.50 per pack of 2 leaves (we ship 2 leaves of each variety unless stock is limited). PLEASE LIST SEVERAL SUBSTITUTES. If you don't list subs, WE WILL SELECT THEM FOR YOU. We accept PERSONAL CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS, and VISA/MC/Amex/Discover. We also accept PayPal by funds transfer out of your PayPal account balance. If you pay by credit card we won't charge it until the day we ship (for early orders, please make sure the expiration date is well into 2012). To verify charges I need your HOME STREET ADDRESS even if you are having the order shipped to a PO Box or a work address. If you pay by check, I'll cash the check right away and mark your order paid. That will make it easier for you to balance your check book before we ship (and I have been known to lose a check or two in storage over the winter!).

We ship from May to November, depending on temperature. Shipping is processed in the order that we receive the orders. Please keep in mind that we can't ship the orders received in April and May until we pack and ship the backlog that has come in earlier in the year (and even November and December of last year). We ship all violet leaf orders by Priority Mail. Orders west of the Mississippi, I ship on Mondays and Tuesdays and Saturdays. Some orders to neighboring states to PA, I'll ship on Wednesdays & Fridays. Supplies I can ship most anytime - generally by Parcel Post. Your patience and understanding is much appreciated.

Shipping Rates for 2012

The price under each zone below is the basic packing and shipping rate for 1 - 15 leaf packs. We have no minimum order , but these minimum shipping rates apply. For orders over 15 leaf packs, please add 10 cents per leaf pack.

Hopefully 2 examples will make this easy to understand.

An order of 14 violet leaves to Beverly Hills, CA, 90210 would be charged as follows:
14 leaf packs @ $2.50 each = $35.00 + shipping to Zone 3 of $15.75 for a Total Order Charge of $50.75.

An order of 22 violet leaves to Boston, MA 02101 would break down as follows:
22 leaf packs @ $2.50 each = $55.00 + 0.70 (22-15 x $0.10) + Zone 1 shipping of $11.00 for a Total order Charge of $66.70.

PLEASE keep in mind these rates INCLUDE the time and labor for packing plus the cost of the packing materials.

Pots and supplies I will generally ship Parcel Post unless I can easily get them in the box with the plants (and if the supplies aren't too heavy). THE FIGURES ABOVE APPLY TO VIOLETS ONLY. Growing supplies I will calculate on an individual basis. They usually ship less expensively by Parcel Post.
